About The Company:

This defense and space manufacturing company is a specialized provider of aerial data capture and geospatial intelligence solutions. Leveraging a fleet of fixed-wing aircraft and advanced sensor payloads, the company delivers high-resolution imagery, LiDAR, and multi-spectral data to support industries such as energy, agriculture, utilities, infrastructure, and environmental monitoring. Headquartered in the United States, the company supports federal and commercial clients with mission-critical insights, enabling precise decision-making through timely and accurate remote sensing data.

The Challenge

The customer required a Senior System Administrator who could:

  • Manage Windows Server environments across AWS and Azure.
  • Implement robust security policies and automate operations using PowerShell.
  • Work as an individual contributor while leading global IT projects for office expansions in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, and other regions.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to fit seamlessly into the customer’s collaborative culture.

This role demanded more than technical proficiency—it called for a proactive leader comfortable with both strategy and execution. Such candidates were scarce in the market.

The Solution

ReluTech worked hand-in-hand with both AWS and the customer to quickly assess the situation—not just from an AWS infrastructure perspective, but through a deep dive into the customer’s architecture, performance expectations, and security requirements.

Given the highly specialized nature of the project, the company’s internal team lacked the hardware expertise to define an optimal solution. ReluTech stepped in to bridge that gap, advising on a fit- for-purpose, high-performance hardware configuration that could operate reliably in an air-gapped environment. Within two hours of the technical call, a complete hardware quote was delivered. By the following week, a deal was signed, and equipment was shipped—well ahead of the customer’s critical June 19 deadline.

The Result

ReluTech’s speed and precision were critical in securing this win. With a strict deadline tied to compliance and security requirements from the company’s end customer, AWS needed a partner who could move quickly. Within a day of being engaged by the AWS team, ReluTech aligned engineers from all sides to scope the right hardware specs, advise on architecture, and deliver a fully compliant on-prem solution.

To maintain alignment with AWS and streamline procurement, the solution was transacted through AWS Marketplace—despite the customer not having an EDP or PPA. This enabled consolidated billing and ensured AWS team visibility throughout the process.

By providing high-performance refurbished hardware backed by Dell support, ReluTech delivered a cost-effective solution that avoided the expense and lead times of new OEM gear. Our ability to source, quote, transact, and ship within days helped AWS meet the customer's aggressive deployment window and avoid delays that could have jeopardized the engagement.
